In an attempt to make this forum a unique service to Rose Parrakeet enthusiasts, I have linked a photo gallery application to this forum. What that means is that members of the discussion forum are automatically members of the photo gallery. Functions such as 'login', 'profile' & 'members' from the forum are shared with the photo gallery. If you are logged into the forum or the gallery you are logged into both at the same time.
Registered members can create their own 'albums' in the gallery, upload & caption pictures they want to share. They may also comment on any pictures in any other album in the gallery. As with the forum, guests will be able to view the gallery, but not upload to it. Although the gallery software will handle pictures up to 1024 KB (1 megabyte), it prefers & seems to work better with smaller files. Image files of approximately 100 dots per inch (dpi) and less than 100 KB in size actually display very well on screen.
Until I can figure out how to add a 'menu button' to the forum you will have to go to the main website by clicking on the Rose Parrakeet Aeroplanes logo at the top of the forum page. Then click on the "Gallery" link on the top navigation bar to get to the 'Gallery' or use this link
www.roseparrakeet.org/Photos. Once in the gallery application, there is a menu item 'Rose Parrakeet Forum', which will return you to the forum.
I hope you will share pics from local airports, fly-ins, regional events, and especially photos of 'Keets'. This is a new feature and I may have to 'tweak' settings in the gallery software. If you have any problems creating 'albums' or uploading pics, please let me know at
