Could any of you explain what kind of wheels were put on from the factory? Did they every come with the thin motorcycle type designs like used on a TravelAir? It looks like something that might be hard to find and was just wondering what my options are. I would like to build it to factory specs if I can.

Mike,
The CD I am sending you has pictures of the wheel build including casting pattern. There is fair interest in more wheels.  I have the pattern, Dan Rhinehart has a friend in the casting business. The APM #101 wheels have a circular boss on the inner wheel half for mounting a disc brake rotor. My period authentic #106 has no brakes, but I made two extras like the ones we put on #101 in case I desired brakes at some point.  Just reaserch ultralight, homebuilt or go cart systems for rotors and calipers. You can bankroll the castings through Dan and probably get yours free in the end.

Barry has drag wire sets for sale also. They are the light weight original size .138".
